Dedicated to the memory of Heather Stevens

In loving memory of Heather Marie Stevens who sadly passed away on 19th March 2017 Heather was born in Cheshire, the eldest child of Marina and Lewis Connor. She had two brothers, Bobby and Kerry, and two sisters, Mandy and Anne-Marie. We met in early 1982 and after many months of letter writing and only a few visits, we married in the October after I came back from the Falklands War. Scott was born in 1985 followed by Ross in 1987. Through the years she had a number of jobs including, dental nurse, hairdresser, playgroup assistant, leisure centre operative, hospital catering assistant, domestic worker, care home worker, care in the community worker and sales assistant at Tiffany’s in Stubbington. She was never afraid to work and always bought something noticeable to show for her efforts. Heather was never one for camping or living out of a suitcase. We tried it once in 1983 and never repeated the experience again. If we were to go anywhere then we had to go posh. So after a couple of trips to America and Europe we went on out first cruise in 2009 and by the middle of last year she had sailed some 66,000 miles, spent 221 nights on board, visited a multitude of ports in many countries and had a really good time, meeting new people and enjoying the shows and entertainment.
